Our Team
The Team at Martin Kingston & Associates includes a number of experienced business consultants, search consultants and researchers, all bringing a degree of functional and industry specialty to their assignments.

Martin Kingston
President

Martin founded Martin Kingston & Associates in 2001, culminating over twenty- five years working in the Marketing and Advertising field. Learning from this experience, he discovered that what these fast growing organizations needed was someone to find qualified employees, freeing the managers to focus on what they do best . . . . operating and building their company.

Martin's practice while general in principal, concentrates on the Marketing Services and Consumer Focused sectors. He has a particular wealth of experience in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), Consumer Durables, Retail and Service Industries including Media, Advertising, Promotion, Public Relations, Creative and Design. Martin brings significant knowledge in understanding these businesses and a proven track record in identifying superior talent. His extensive search experience in these sectors has been primarily focused in Marketing, Operations, Finance and Sales.

Over the years, Martin has worked for, serviced or conducted search mandates for virtually all functional areas and industry sectors. Selected past clients have included many of the Fortune 500 through to smaller, entrepreneurial businesses. He has established a track record of successful placements including numerous impact hires from Manager to C.E.O., as well as the senior and mid-level operating and staff positions that support these roles.

In the battle raging for top talent, Martin brings extensive experience in attracting and negotiating with the finest caliber of candidates. To the search for today's and tomorrows leaders, he brings proactive talent recruitment techniques, investigative research, creative web-mining techniques and a proprietary and extensive database compiled since 1999 including several thousand of Canada's best employees.

A seasoned search professional and top-of-class business leader, Martin has established a reputation for providing exceptional service, sharing his client's sense of urgency without compromising on quality, for developing highly participative client relationships, and for maintaining the highest levels of integrity putting both clients' and candidates' interests first.

Martin's academic and practical experience leading and developing a number of successful businesses, employing hundreds of employees, provides him with a unique combination of business savvy and experience, resulting in a disciplined approach to Executive Search, M&A Consultation and Business Mentoring.

Prior to founding Martin Kingston & Associates, Martin was a Search Practice Leader and Senior Management Consultant at another international search firm. Earlier in his career, and for over two and half decades, Martin was an Advertising Agency President and C.E.O., and held senior marketing roles for some of the World's leading business organizations. He is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business.

Extensive first hand experience in restructuring and building companies of all sizes ranging from multi-national operations to smaller, independent entrepreneurial Canadian firms, has provided Martin with a sound understanding of the critical success factors beneficial in the promotion of organizational growth and profits while sustaining internal and financial stability.

Martin's past success was based on the belief that the creation and communication of a compelling vision, strategy development and implementation, and most importantly hiring the right people are crucial factors for all organizations looking to gain a competitive advantage.

A recognized authority in salary and compensation issues, Martin is an ongoing contributor to the editorial content of Marketing Magazine.
